This popular perennial makes a statement with its lush leaves and large growth habit. Alocasia lauterbachiana has sword-shaped green leaves with dark undersides and wavy leaf margins, and can grow up to two metres tall outdoors in the right conditions. It requires a warm, frost free, sunny or partly shaded area to thrive. It is ideal for shallow ponds or boggy, wetland areas and must not be dried out.
