A popular tropical plant from Brazil that's widely admired and grown as an indoor houseplant for its large and striking, pointed deep, glossy-green leaves with bright white silvery veins that have a striped appearance and produce bright yellow flowers. It likes a well-lit room with fairly, high humidity and plenty of warmth. When the plant flowers, usually in late summer or autumn, it bears a beautiful and tall (8 in.) showy golden flower. Perfect on your sideboard or buffet.
