It is ideal for sheltered garden beds and containers, especially underneath deciduous trees. Choose a cool site that is sheltered from wind and frost. This plant grows best in moist, humus rich, acid soils. Varieties available include Shojo, Forest Flame, Forrestii, Christmas Cheer, Mountain Fire, Valley Valentine and Temple Bells.
