Choose a sunny position with well drained soil to mass plant a spectacular screen or low border. This plant will tolerate shade, although it will flower less. It will also tolerate light frost.

Cultivate the soil before planting. Dig a hole that is twice as wide and deep as the container. Remove the plant from the container and place it in the hole, so that the soil level of the plant is the same as the surrounding soil. Fill the hole with soil, tamp down firmly, and water well, even if the soil is moist.
Water this plant until it is established. Avoid waterlogged soil.
Remove faded flowers and old foliage at the base of the plant with a pair of clean, sharp secateurs, annually.
