The Black Mondo Grass is a tuft forming, spreading plant that produces purplish black, narrow leaves and lilac flowers during summer that are followed by black berries. It is an excellent plant to use as a border along garden edges, driveways, around pools or in containers. It is best planted in moist, well drained soil in full sun to part shade.
