Sunshine Blue is a low chill variety of blueberries requiring only 150 hours of winter chill to set fruit. It’s a semi-dwarf, semi-deciduous type that has attractive bright pink flowers that fade to white. It will produce a good crop of medium sized fruit from October through to March and is suitable for large containers where soil pH can be more easily controlled and good drainage achieved. It’s best to plant more than one plant to help with pollination and to increase fruit production.
