Mad Hatter is a compact hybrid shrub that has vigorous growth and produces high yields of mild, sweet tasting fruits. The unusual fruits are a triangular 'hat' shape and range from green to red in colour. They are a popular variety of pepper and can be used fresh in salads, added to cooking, or pickled and preserved. While fruiting, they require regular watering and benefit from fertiliser every one to two weeks, and the compact plant is suitable for both garden bed and container planting.
