Also known as a Chusan Palm, the Chinese Windmill Palm has an elegant single trunk covered with shaggy, long, dark-brown bushy fibres with a thick crown of tough fan-shaped, dark green leaves. It's quite tolerant of cold conditions and is a perfect centrepiece in any garden, pot or container.
It prefers a full sun, well-drained soil and a spot where it's protected from strong winds. It will suffer from root and trunk rot if over-watered.
