Croton Excellent is a magnificent, evergreen shrub with large, leathery, multi-coloured foliage. Ideal for tropical gardens with free draining soil, or indoors in a warm, well lit position. It will grow best in a warm environment, free from drafts, where it can get plenty of sunshine. It also appreciates moist soil and humid air as dry air and leaves can cause the leaves to drop off.
In warmer climates crotons are perfect for shrubberies, or for containers on patios and verandahs. A spectacular house or office plant for cooler climates.
To help your plant show off its most vibrant colours, make sure it gets lots of bright light, as it needs at least three hours of direct sunlight each day. Your plant will tell you if it needs a brighter location as the new leaves will be mostly in shades of green.
