A very reliable, easy to grow variety which produces generous crops of very sweet-tasting beetroot. With its unique long, dark-red cylindrical shape its ideal for slicing or grating, it can be roasted or broiled, served hot or cold with salads, and must be peeled before eating.
Prefers a well-cultivated soil. Regular fertilising and watering are essential. Harvest 10 to 15 weeks from sowing.
