Is a red-topped oblong radish with white based roots that have a crisp, white flesh and a mildly pungent flavour. It's an old favourite with gardeners and a very versatile vegetable, all radishes make a perfect 'catch crop' that's sown in between other crops. It's fast growing and best picked when young. Perfect when sliced thinly and added to salads, coleslaw and relish trays.
