Nothing signals hot summer days more than slices of delicious, juicy, bright red-coloured watermelon. These light green melons with their distinctive dark-green stripes on the outer rind, produce good sized fruit with deep-red, fine textured flesh. Harvest approximately 12 to 14 weeks after sowing. Fruits are ripe when the bottom turns yellow and sounds hollow when tapped.
