An upright, clump forming, flowering perennial with spires of beautiful blue blossoms in spring and summer. Delphiniums are best planted where they get morning sun and afternoon shade in late winter to early spring, once the frosts are over. Stake the individual flower stems as they begin to elongate to help avoid wind damage.
