Also referred to as wild iris or fortnight lily, this fast-growing clumping plant has large, white iris-like flowers with a mauve centre. Three of the six rounded petals have a distinctive yellow marking.
Will happily grow in both gardens and pots but looks most striking when planted en masse. Almost indestructible, this is a top plant-and-forget pick.
