Create a point of interest in your garden with the Dragon Tree. This evergreen tree, has a single, smooth, grey trunk, which divides into regularly spaced, swollen branches when mature. It produces decorative, stiff, lance shaped, blue green leaves that may grow up to 60cm long and 5cm wide. Insignificant flowers are followed by orange berries in summer. This slow growing tree may, in time, reach nine metres in height with a trunk up to a meter in diameter. It is a magnificent tree for general garden planting, xeriscape gardens, Mediterranean gardens, or as a feature plant in modern style gardens. It is ideal for containers when young and it thrives in moist, well drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded positions.

Planting Advice | Cultivate the soil before planting. Dig a hole that is twice as wide and deep as the container. Remove the plant from the container and place it in the hole, so that the soil level of the plant is the same as the surrounding soil. Fill the hole with soil, tamp down firmly, and water well, even if the soil is moist. |
