A favourite with florists and gardeners not just for their fabulous spring colour but they're an easy to grow low maintenance plant. Leave them in the ground for year after year flowering. Tall, elegant flower stalks with grey reed-like leaves produce a beautiful mixture of flowers. They are best planted in clumps amongst other perennials, alongside shrubs and of course they make a wonderful cut flower for a gorgeous display inside.

| Watering needs | Start watering when shoots appear and keep soil slightly moist until foliage dies off after flowering. Keep bulbs relatively dry whilst dormant. |

| Pruning Advice | When in bloom feel free to cut iris flowers for spring bouquets. After blooming has finished for the season leave the foliage in place, don't cut it off. During summer the leaves will yellow and die back as the plant slips into dormancy. Foliage may be removed at this point. |
