If you want to grow full-size fruit but don’t have the space in your garden a dwarf variety is an ideal choice. Valencia oranges are considered the ‘juicing’ orange. This evergreen, compact tree produces fragrant, creamy-white flowers followed by large-sized, orange fruit that are juicier than other types of oranges. The tree will give you all the flavour and juiciness of an orange grown on standard trees where the size of the tree is the only difference. And the longer the fruit is left on the tree the sweeter it becomes. Ideal for planting in smaller or a Mediterranean style gardens, espaliered on a feature wall or in large pots that are a vibrant addition to any courtyard, patio or terrace.
Use for juicing, desserts, preserves or on its own as a healthy snack.

| Planting Advice | Plant in a sunny, open position in well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide and as deep as the root-ball. Take out the plant from the container and place the plant into the hole so that the soil level is the same as the surrounding ground. Fill in the hole firmly and water it well even if the soil is moist. To keep the tree free of grass and weeds, and to retain moisture, remember to mulch well but keep mulch away from the tree trunk to avoid collar rot. |

| Watering needs | Water regularly during warmer months, when buds appear, it starts flowering or when fruit is forming. Water container specimens every three to four days, and more often in hot weather. Do not water the trunk. |
| Pruning Advice | Prune in late spring with pruning shears to shape the tree and to remove any dying, low hanging branches or leaves from the tree. Take off any suckers at the base of the trunk and on branches to encourage new growth. |
