A tall perennial herb with thick, hollow stems and feathery, delicate dark green leaves. This easy to grow perennial prefers a rich, well-drained soil and a sunny position. The bulb can be eaten either cooked or raw. Sliced or steamed it's perfect in stir-fries or grated raw in salads. It can also be added to sauces or infused in butter.
