A robust and lush evergreen tree, the Emerald Ficus has glossy green, oval leaves and a smooth mid-brown trunk. It is popularly grown as a topiary standard as it responds well to regular pruning, and is an excellent choice in formal gardens as potted feature plants. Preferring a sun filled position, it will tolerate part shade, and it enjoys regular soaking irrigation. To prevent leaf loss, avoid frost prone areas, or if keeping indoors try not to move the plant around too much as this will cause unnecessary stress.
