Hiryu camellias produce beautiful, large semi-double flowers in a deep rose colour that shades to red at the petal edges. Flowers are produced throughout autumn and winter giving your garden a burst of colour during the cooler months.

Hiryu grows as a tall, bushy shrub to approximately 2-3 metres with small, bright green foliage. These characteristics make the Hiryu camellia ideal for screening, hedging, large containers or espaliers.

Sasanqua camellias thrive in slightly acidic soil with several buckets of compost and aged manure dug in before planting. Suitable for sun or shade.
