Why choose aluminium garden edging?
Aluminium garden edging is a great choice for gardens everywhere. Here are 6 reasons we recommend our Rhino Edge aluminium garden edging range.
Reason 1: Rhino Edge is easy to install for both tradies and DIYers.
You don't need to be a rocket scientist - our Rhino Edge aluminium garden edging products are very straightforward and simple to place in your garden. All the essential pieces are provided (four pegs plus one joiner) when you purchase a length of Rhino Edge, so for most applications, you won't need to buy anything else!

Each Rhino Edge piece comes with the essential accessories included. Left, the L-Shaped edging inclusions, and right, the Straight edging inclusions.
Reason 2: Rhino Edge is lightweight.
Aluminium is used in a range of industries - think drink cans, construction materials and even outdoor furniture - because it is so lightweight. The bonus with our Rhino Edge aluminium garden edging range is that each 2.4 metre length remains easy to handle because of these lightweight properties.
Reason 3: Rhino Edge is durable.
Despite being easy to maneuver and manipulate, aluminium garden edging will stand the test of time. This makes Rhino Edge excellent for use as a permanent garden installation.
Reason 4: Rhino Edge is rust-resistant.
Aluminium is known for its resistance to rust and corrosion - meaning your Rhino Edge aluminium garden edging will look great for years to come.
Reason 5: Rhino Edge is versatile.
Need a long, straight line? Easy as pie. Want an elegant contour to your garden bed? No worries! Need something more angular, with lots of corners? Grab a corner piece and make it happen. Our Rhino Edge aluminium garden edging is modular, and with two different profiles - straight and L-shaped - you can pick the one that best suits your needs. The L-shaped range is more flexible and is ideal for creating curves, while the straight range is reinforced to hold its shape beautifully.
Reason 6: Rhino Edge looks great.
Aluminium garden edging is the perfect finishing touch for a beautifully manicured garden. Our Rhino Edge range comes in two unique finishes so you can pick which one best complements your garden. The Standard Sheen finish is silver in colour with a satiny sheen, while the Black Powder-Coated finish is a high-gloss true black.

Rhino Edge Aluminium Garden Edging comes in two profiles and two finishes, so you can create a variety of looks in your garden.
How to install Rhino Edge Aluminium Garden Edging in 5 simple steps
Garden edging installation just got a lot easier with Rhino Edge. It's designed to be easy - so no matter whether you're a seasoned tradie or a beginner DIYer, you can get the job done. Here's how.
Garden Edging Step 1
Identify the area that needs edging, measure it all out and decide on the shape you'd like to create. Planning it all out beforehand will help you choose the right type of Rhino Edge Aluminium Garden Edging for your application. It'll also help you ensure you've got your accessories sorted.
- For crisp, straight lines, choose the Straight style which is more rigid.
- To create curves, the flexible L-Shaped edging style will bend to your will.
- No matter whether you choose Straight or L-Shaped, each length of 2.4 metres comes with four pegs plus a joiner - and for most applications, this is all you'll need! If you do find you need extra pegs to create tighter curves, or a corner piece to create a sharp angle, you can grab those as extras in-store or online.
Garden Edging Step 2
Dig a small trench exactly where you want to place your new garden edging. The trench should follow the full length of the shape you plan to create. It should be just wide and deep enough to accommodate the base of your edging pieces.
Garden Edging Step 3
Place your edging into the trench, manipulating the shape as you go. Place your edging so that the flush side faces out - this is the side you want to be visible. The brackets or peg holes are intended to face away from view, so they'll be covered by your mulch or plants. If you need to connect multiple lengths together using the included joiner, now's the time to do so. Don't forget to use a spirit level to ensure your edging is sitting nice and flat - this is especially important when joining multiple pieces together.
Garden Edging Step 4
Once you're happy with the shape and position of your garden edging, use a rubber mallet or hammer to secure the pegs into place. For Straight edging pieces, insert the flat pegs through the brackets and hammer until the lip at the top of the peg is flush with the top of the bracket. For L-Shaped edging pieces, push the twisted pegs through holes in the base, choosing the position of the pegs based on the shape you've created. Hammer the pegs down until the round top is flush with the edging base.
Garden Edging Step 5
Step back and enjoy the polished new look of your garden! If your garden beds need topping up, now would be the time to do so. Your newly-installed garden edging will ensure that soils and mulches stay exactly where you want them to be.
