The secret to gourmet cooking is fresh ingredients, and what could be fresher than Homegrown? Make this scrumptious Chives Dip with just-picked Homegrown herbs. Perfect for the patch or in pots, they are ready to be harvested the day you take them home.

Serves 4


  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ¾ cup whole egg mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley leaves, roughlychopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh tarragon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 anchovy fillets (optional)
  • ¼ cup fresh chives
  • salt and black pepper to taste


Place sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, parsley, tarragon, lemon juice and anchovy fillets into food processor and blend until smooth and creamy.

Transfer to a serving bowl and gently stir through fresh cut chives, salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Serve with fresh crudités – celery, carrots, capsicum, cucumber, broccoli and asparagus.
