Company History and Milestones
Nick Sammut, a Maltese immigrant who landed in Sydney in 1955, was the visionary behind Flower Power Nursery. Initially, Nick started small, making cement pots and iron stands as a side hustle.
In 1968, he took a significant step forward by acquiring Lusty’s Nursery in Moorebank for 200 pounds. This acquisition was a turning point, and resulted in a basic nursery evolving into a thriving garden centre.
Flower Power now operates in 10 physical locations around NSW, complemented by an impressive online offering.
In 2018, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary and received the honour of being inducted into Family Business Australia’s Hall of Fame.
