"Welcome to our in-depth look at Flower Power, a leading name in the NSW gardening scene.

But this isn’t just any garden centre; Flower Power grow over 6 million of their own plants every year, with the majority being grown locally in their Glenorie production nursery Arborglen, so they’re tailored to thrive in Sydney’s unique climate.

With an extensive range of plant offerings and a suite of services designed to make your gardening journey easier, Flower Power stands as a go-to destination for all things green.

Whether you’re new to gardening or have a seasoned green thumb, this profile will shed light on how Flower Power can enrich your gardening experience.

Company History and Milestones

Nick Sammut, a Maltese immigrant who landed in Sydney in 1955, was the visionary behind Flower Power Nursery. Initially, Nick started small, making cement pots and iron stands as a side hustle.

In 1968, he took a significant step forward by acquiring Lusty’s Nursery in Moorebank for 200 pounds. This acquisition was a turning point, and resulted in a basic nursery evolving into a thriving garden centre.

Flower Power now operates in 10 physical locations around NSW, complemented by an impressive online offering.

In 2018, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary and received the honour of being inducted into Family Business Australia’s Hall of Fame.

What’s on Offer?

Flower Power boasts an extensive selection of plants that cater to a wide range of gardening needs. Whether you’re looking for seeds and bulbs, edible plants, or Australian natives, you’ll find it here.
