How to care for your Living Trends Cup O' Flora Planter
A gorgeous glass planter from our Living Trends Cup O' Flora range is the perfect way to add a sleek and stylish touch of greenery to any home - and we've done the hard work for you by choosing the ideal plant and potting it up. Here's how to keep yours looking happy and healthy in your home!
Top tip: Water wisely.
These planters have a unique self-wicking design that means you need to think differently about the way you water them. Here's how:
- Remove the inner glass pot (which contains the plant) from the outer glass bowl.
- Add around 2cm of water to the outer glass bowl, so the water level sits just below the base of the inner glass pot.
- Replace the inner glass pot so that the satin ribbon wick is sitting in the water. The wick will draw water to your plant's roots as needed.
Top up using the same process once your plant has used up all the water and none remains - or until the wick no longer reaches the water!
As your plant gets all the water it needs through the wicking process, resist the temptation to water the soil in the inner glass pot the way you would a traditional plant. Doing so could lead to an accidental plant drowning!
Top tip: Keep it clean.
Noticing the outer glass bowl of your Living Trends Cup O' Flora planter looks a little foggy or grimy after a while? Don't reach for the Windex - simply soak a paper towel in a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar, then wipe it down inside and out, allowing it to dry before adding fresh water and reassembling. This is the same way you'd clean a glass terrarium, and the natural solution won't harm your plants.
