Is an excellent winemaking grape most frequently used for sweet, dessert wine. This deciduous vine has large lime green leaves and produces bunches of swollen, large and fleshy black grapes with a distinct floral aroma in summer. The sweet black grape is nice eaten on its own and bunches of it are a wonderful addition to a fruit or cheese platter. You can grow them on a pergola where you can delight in the leafy summer shade they create before the fruit ripens or along a sunny fence or trellis. Either way you need to support the vine when it’s climbing.
