Is a mid-sized shrub or small tree with green leaves that turn yellow in autumn. The leaves are deciduous, rounded and delicately, furry on both sides with a jagged edge. Flowers are produced very early in spring, before the leaves, and are followed by fruit in clusters that is a nut. The hazelnut has a roughly spherical to oval shape and are excellent eaten fresh, for roasting and cooking and are very high in protein.
