A small to medium sized shrub grown predominately for its fruit, the Rosella Hibiscus is a great addition to any herbalist or edible garden. With similar rounded habits to standard hibiscus, and producing beautiful showy yellow blooms, this plant grows best in rich well draining soil and requires regular watering whilst fruiting. The deep red, glossy fruit is the prize of this plant with its many nutritious properties and is used in making teas, syrups, and jams, as well as the fruit and young leaves being used in salads and cooking.
