A fast-growing tree with soft, green, fern like foliage which turns yellow in winter before dropping. Flowering occurs in late spring or early summer when the canopy bursts out with purple-blue, bell-shaped flowers. Jacarandas are a South American native tree which when planted in the right spot is a magnificent shade tree providing beautiful filtered cover. Once established their delightful, distinctive purple canopies are easily spotted on side-streets and they’re a great feature tree in your back or front yard.
