A very robust, disease resistant, dwarf variety of the Kaffir Lime. The tree is densely covered in glossy-green leaves producing small, pinkish-white flowers, followed by fruit that turns from light to deep green as it matures. The fruit is very small and has a thick, bumpy rind which when crushed emits an intense citrus fragrance. Kaffir limes are grown for their highly aromatic leaves that can be used for oil and zesting. The limes are a key ingredient in many Southeast Asian recipes to flavour curries, garnish soups and salads. Ideal for planting in smaller or Mediterranean style gardens, espaliered on fences or walls, in large pots for courtyards or decks.

| Planting Advice | Plant in a sunny, open position in well-drained soil. Dig a hole twice as wide and as deep as the root-ball. Take out the plant from the container and place the plant into the hole so that the soil level is the same as the surrounding ground. Fill in the hole firmly and water it well even if the soil is moist. To keep the tree free of grass and weeds, and to retain moisture, remember to mulch well but keep mulch away from the tree trunk to avoid collar rot. |

| Watering needs | Water regularly during warmer months, when buds appear, it starts flowering or when fruit is forming. Water container specimens every three to four days, and more often in hot weather. Do not water the trunk. |
| Pruning Advice | Prune in late spring with pruning shears to shape the tree and to remove any dying, low hanging branches or leaves from the tree. Take off any suckers at the base of the trunk and on branches to encourage new growth. |
