Add a point of interest to your garden with this evergreen, hardy perennial. The Liriope Muscari produces grass like, glossy, green leaves and purple flower spikes from early summer through to autumn. It is widely used in landscaping as a groundcover, and is also ideal in borders, mass plantings ans pots. It thrives in a partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil. It also tolerates light frost and periods of dryness. This plant responds well to pruning and feeding in winter and you will be rewarded with fresh, lush growth in early spring.

Cultivate the soil before planting. Dig a hole that is twice as wide and deep as the container. Remove the plant from the container and place it in the hole, so that the soil level of the plant is the same as the surrounding soil. Fill the hole with soil, tamp down firmly, and water well, even if the soil is moist.
Keep the soil of this plant moist, but not wet. Provide extra water during very dry periods.
To keep this plant looking tidy, remove any spent or scruffy leaves with a pair of sharp secateurs.
