The Liriope Royal Purple produces grass like, glossy, dark green leaves and dark purple flower spikes from early summer through to autumn. It is widely used in landscaping as a groundcover, and is also ideal in borders, mass plantings and pots. It thrives in a partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil. It also tolerates light frost and periods of dryness. This plant responds well to pruning and feeding in winter and you will be rewarded with fresh, lush growth in early spring.
