A hybrid variety of maple that's a cross between an acer rubrum and acer saccharinum. Scarlet Sentinel is a tall, upright tree that grows well in sun or shade, perfect for streetscapes, carparks or acreage gardens. The dark green leaves, change from yellow to red in autumn in a bright show and then the tree lays dormant through winter.
