Formerly listed as a Eucalypt, many will recognise the beautiful red flowers from Australian Christmas-time bouquets where the blooms make a stunning and distinctive addition to the table. The trees are also widely used as hardy street trees where they reach 12-15m. The beautiful glossy foliage provides shade and summertime protection and even the bark is attractive.
