Dwarf, broad-domed, deciduous, fruiting tree has slightly pendulous branches and glossy, veined, toothed, green leaves with downy undersides.
Produces small, fragrant, white flowers in Spring followed by large, edible, sweet and juicy, reddish/purple black berries in Summer. Ideal for full sun and part shade in gardens, as a feature, hedging, screening or in large pots. This can be eaten fresh or cooked and is self-pollinating. This plant attracts bees and birds.
