Dwarf, broad-domed, deciduous, fruiting tree has pendulous branches and glossy, veined, toothed, green leaves with downy undersides.
Produces small, white, fragrant flowers in Spring followed by edible, large, cylindrical, sweet and juicy, reddish/purple black berries in Summer. Ideal for full sun and part shade in gardens, as a feature, hedging, screening or large pots. The berries can be eaten fresh or cooked. It is self-pollinating and attracts bees and birds.
