A smaller tree with foliage that are mostly silver and weeping branches -differentiating it from other olives varieties. Verdale crops heavily in alternate years with bright green olives that have a slight hint of pink blush. It likes warm regions where summers are extended and dry, for fruit development. It prefers cooler winters and can withstand coastal locations and drought conditions once established. Ideal for using as a feature, street or shade tree or for hedging. It can also be trained to grow as an espalier or a standard.
