Add this spectacular plant to your garden. This tough perennial produces broad, glossy, serrated leaves and unusual, purple and white flowers on tall flowering spikes from November through to January. It makes an ideal groundcover under large, established trees in deep shade and in shrub gardens. It will tolerate a wide range of sites, although it looks best when protected from the afternoon sun.
