An attractive tree bearing large fruit that is a deep, russet-brown in colour with a yellow ground colour. The inside flesh is a yellowish-white, very juicy, lovely and sweet, with a coarse slightly granular texture. The full flavour of this pear develops after three to four weeks under refrigeration.
