A dwarf variety of the much loved favourite, Packhams Triumph is a regular and heavy bearing tree producing a large fruit, lime green in colour with a slightly knobbly skin that turns a little yellow when ripe. It has a classic bell-shape and is an excellent dessert pear. It yields a late season crop, so is good to plant among early season cropping pears, in order to get a full season harvest. This dwarf variety is great for smaller gardens, preferring a free-draining position in full sun. Be sure to water in well until established, fertilise in spring and autumn, and keep mulched and well watered across summer while the plant is fruiting.
