An unusual and attractive fern with a coarse and rough textured foliage that is bright red in colour when young. Prickly Rasp Fern is not your common fern as the red coloured foliage intensifies when it's exposed to greater amounts of sunlight. Best grown in a partly shaded position in a well-drained humus rich soil. A contrasting plant that's perfect for adding colour to ferneries and it performs equally well when planted in a container.

Pruning Advice | Remove spent fronds with clean, sharp secateurs to keep the plant tidy and prevent dead leaves from draining energy from the plant. |
