Scilla bulbs require chilling for six to eight weeks in a refrigerator before planting. Best treated as an annual in warmer areas.
Keep watering lightly while foliage is still growing. During the dormant period, when the leaves are completely gone, don't water as this can cause the bulbs to rot.
When in bloom feel free to cut flowers for spring bouquets. Clip off foliage as it yellows and dies back.
