Snow peas are a tasty, easy to grow nutritious variety of pea eaten whole in its pod. The plant produces heavy crops of at, sweet, crisp, edible pods with very small peas inside; the whole pod is tasty, although the tough 'strings' along the ees are usually removed before eating. It prefers a sunny location with well-drained soil. It can be cooked whole, stir fried or eat raw in salads. Excess pods can be blanched and frozen.
