This spectacular fern with large bright-green fronds that shoot out of the centre of the plant like antler's horns is a relatively easy plant to care for and maintain. Stag horns are best displayed attached to trees or timber backing. They happily grow in cool, moist and shady areas. In cold regions, grow in a glasshouse as a specimen plant.

Water moderately once established. Prefers moist conditions, so mist regularly with a water sprayer. Avoid over watering as this can lead to rot. If growing in a temperate region keep the plant on the drier side during winter months.
Remove spent fronds with clean, sharp secateurs to keep the plant tidy and prevent dead leaves from draining energy from the plant.
