The foliage of Canna Tropicanna Black is a magnificent combination of purple shades blended with black. This feast for the senses is completed by the rich, scarlet-orange flowers.
Prune during winter while the plant is dormant. Remove withered flowers from the plant with clean, sharp secateurs to encourage more blooms. Remove damaged foliage at the base where the damaged leaf meets the stalk. After the flowering period ends, cut down the entire stalks to approximately 5-10cm above the ground. Remember to always clean and disinfect your secateurs before, during and after use to avoid spreading disease.
