Fast growing and multi stemmed, it produces large, glossy, dark green, leaves which develop purplish tones in cold weather, and lime green new growth. Abundant clusters of tiny, pale pink buds open to fragrant, white flowers in winter and spring followed by bright metallic blue berries. Berries are harmful if eaten.
