Vireyas are beautiful shrubs with large dark green leaves, perfect for understory planting, that produce clusters of blooms in a variety of bright colours. The flowers are simple and trumpet-shaped, clustered at the base creating a ball of colour, set against large, oval, waxy leaves, and they have a sparse, open habit making them great plants for mixed, shaded garden beds. Vireyas prefer humid and sheltered environments with rich, free-draining, acidic soil with protection from frost and wind.
