Cultivate soil before planting. Dig a hole twice as large as the pot. Place the plant in the hole so that the soil level from the pot, matches that of the garden bed. Water in well.
Keep soil moist during dry weather periods.
Pruning of Wisterias can be very demanding. Prune back shoots after flowering to five or six buds to encourage flowers spurs. Prune off whippy growth during the warmer months.
