This bunching onion has long, slim blue-green stalks with a mild sweet flavour. A non-bulbing onion that's easy to grow and an essential ingredient in many Asian dishes. It can be eaten raw or cooked. It produces reliable crops is perfect in your veggie patch or containers.

Planting Advice

Sow in a prepared seedbed or direct into pots or containers. Sow thinly in rows 20cm (8in) apart or in blocks. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover lightly with 6mm (1/4in) of fine soil. Seedlings appear within 14 to 21 days. No thinning needed. Keep moist and weed free. Harvest 8 to 12 weeks after sowing. For continuous crops sow every two to three weeks.
