Rocket Wasabi is an easy to grow variety of rocket that has the distinctive taste of wasabi that's used in Japanese dishes, because of its high mustard oil content. The long, green, oval spoon shaped leaves have a unique fiery flavour close to the wasabi root in a salad leaf form. Treat the leaves and the tiny white flowers as an herb adding a blazing kick to your dishes.

| Planting Advice | Prefers a well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Sow thinly in rows 25cm (10in) apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. For a continuous crop sow every two to three weeks. Keep well-watered and apply a slow release fertiliser. Pick-off flower buds as they start forming to prolong harvesting of leaves. Harvest as needed. |
