A sweet melon that has a large oval shape with a smooth outer skin that can vary in colour from a creamy-white to a pale green without ‘netting’ ridges on the rind. The thick lime-green flesh has a firm texture and the melon can weigh up to 2.5kg. The Honeydew is best eaten on its own sliced, it can also be pureed or added to fruit salads.

Planting Advice | Press four seeds into damp soil at each clump, spaced 50cm (20in) between rows and clumps. Seedlings emerge in six to ten days. When young plants have five to six leaves pinch out growing tips to encourage growth of flowering shoots. Keep soil well-watered and mulched. |
